Tips for a Winning Photo!
Find the Right Angle
Indoor spaces are often cramped, which can result in photos that only show small details. Use your smartphone's wide-angle lens (0.5x zoom) if necessary and stand in the furthest corner of the garage. This adds depth and reveals the full scale of the workshop equipment. Additionally, try taking photos at different heights, such as chest level or workbench height, to give the setup a more impressive feel.
Ready for the Next Job
A workshop should look like it’s being used—we love that! However, please remove empty packaging, stray cleaning rags, and coffee cups from the frame. Ensure tools are stored in cabinets or neatly placed in their inlays. A tidy workspace looks larger and more professional, emphasizing the sleek lines of your new setup. It shows that your George setup is the foundation of every successful project.
Put it in the Spotlight
Poor lighting can make steel look dull. Use the light you have: open the (garage) door for natural light, but try to avoid direct sunlight reflecting off the metal. If that’s not possible, don’t worry—it won't cost you points! 😉 If your setup has integrated LED lighting or extra work lamps, turn them on! This accentuates the workbench and creates depth.
Showcase the Strength
A George At Work setup is built for heavy-duty tasks. Show it off! Place your best project, a heavy machine, or your pride and joy (car/motorcycle/bike) in front of or on the workbench. You can even slightly open a drawer with a well-filled inlay. This makes the photo feel "real" and proves that the equipment isn't just beautiful, but also built for serious use.
